This 16 hour course, broken into eight 2-hour segments, is designed to prepare the beginning or working inspector to pass nationally recognized association and state exams. Passing these examinations requires a working knowledge of inspection methods, building systems, reporting methods, and professional practices, as well as commonly encountered code compliance and safety issues. This Kaplan Course serves as a review of all of these topics as they relate to examinations and familiarizes students with exam protocols and sound test taking strategies all from the comfort of your home or office.

Learning Objectives

Completion of this course increases each student's knowledge regarding the home inspection process. Prior to taking our online course, a pre-assessment quiz is given to test strengths and weaknesses and is reviewed during the first session. The information and experience gained from the course will enable each student to demonstrate:
